The first Aussie Specialty was held on Sunday, 19 April 1998 by The Australian Shepherd Association of NSW Inc. and was won by Aust Ch Sasin Bravo Blue Star (iid).

Over the years there have been 50 specialty shows run, which have been judged by 49 judges across 3 states resulting in 35 different Best in Show Winners, 29 different DCC winners and 30 different BCC winners!

Aust Gr Ch / Am Ch Sugargum Top Shelf holds the honour of receiving the most high level awards including: 3 Best in Shows, 6 Runner Up Best in Shows, 8 BCCs and 5 RBCCs from her 18 appearances.

The largest entry to date was 150 at the show held on Saturday, 2 November 2013 by Australian Shepherd Club of Victoria Inc. under Nannette Newbury (USA) who awarded Best in Show to Aust Gr Ch Blueamble My Toyboy Is Black.
